I have no issues with this guide rod. It does seem to run smoother but cleaning is a pain. I would recommend getting the Captive rod, which would help keeping the spring from flying across the room when you go to

Although a bit harder to insert than a captive rod, it is smoother and no chance of cracking a bushing and screw.
