SIDERLOCK
by: whoaitsjimbo
Anyone, who dosn't have this added saftey to there GLOCK is ignorant to the fact that accidents happen. And this new saftey maybe the difference between and accident and a close call. Remember, it takes less than a second to pull the trigger and you have to live with the consequence for the rest of your life. Don't live w/ an accident make sure if you or anyone pulls the trigger its on purpose.

I think this a great product for concealed carry and such, the advantage is far better than the disadvantage. For the average home owner half asleep and reaching in the bed side table at 3am, yes this is a great idea. I feel much better having a saftey when I carry my Glock. I wear a belly band and at times have had my dog and kids jump on me when I least expect it, I want no accidents. As for "taking another second", after a few trips to the range I have become lightning fast at disengaging the saftey and firing. Now for those professionals who carry a duty gun this might not be a good idea, every second does count, you might have to shoot off hand, etc.......
...........but just like on all my other handguns, if I don't want the saftey on, then I don't switch it on!

This is the greatest thing since apple pie. One thing that is most important is the fact that if a bad guy should get your gun there is a good chance that he will not be able to fire the glock. I laugh at people who are against such a good safety device. As for forgetting to push the safety off all it takes is working with the gun and making it a habit to push it off. Remember the 1911 condition one? You learn to draw and flip the safety off.

I just installed a Siderlock on my Glock 23. Took it to the range, and it worked perfectly. I highly encourage other Glock carriers to install this.

I loved the added safety, bought it, installed it, and it binds in the last 10% of trigger pull. Also, the trigger pull in the second to last shot caused and auto chamber and firing of the last round in my mag!! Suprised? I couldn't believe it so I tried it 3 more times and same "auto"fire of last round without recycling the trigger. Problem went away when I reinstalled the original trigger. Anyone else experience this?

All this with added`on safeties would have been completely unnecessary if Glock had built the pistol with a safety like a Colt 45. There is nothing wrong with a safetey almost everyone that handles pistols is familiar with.
I know a detective in Greensboro who shot himself in the buttocks with his Glock, sitting down at the Atlantic coast Conference basketball tournament, in the crowd. The Sheriff of Davidson County, N.C. holstered his Glock. It fired and he and almost shot himself in the foot. He went back to his S%W Highway Patrolman. My Model 22 scares me to death. You can bet I'll be buying and installing the Siderlock.

I had the siderlock installed on my g26 on 1/27/08 at a gun show and love it. I feel so much more comfortable holstering with one in the chamber. I was constantly worried about my trigger getting snagged on my shirt while holstering and then firing my pistol , not anymore. GET IT IT WORKS GREAT!!!!!!

Outstanding product... probably the single best addition I've made to my Glocks. Works perfectly and very easy to use.

Are you serious? As a gunsmith and Glock carrier I have oneserious question; Who in their right mind would even consider this? My first impression was that a group of Anti's had somehow hacked into this site and were trying to undermine my pistol. Is there really anyone out there who thinks that the Glock designers didn't do a great job in the first place??? I am seriously affraid this device could cause a loss of life due to the fact that, under extreme pressure, a person won't be able to work it effectively. I will discourage any of my customers from purchasing this worthless product.

As a 16 year veteran of the sheriffs' dept. , I can safely say, that under a stressful situation you would probably not get the first shot off and become a statistic due to not disengaging the safety device. I'll pass.
