What a difference this laser has made! In a real defensive situation, one is not going to have the time to take a perfect stance, aim carefully, concentrate on breathing and ensure a correct sight picture. Trigger squeeze should already be second nature, if not, then get a dry fire training pistol and PRACTICE! Not to mention that at the range, the targets are not moving, charing you with a knife or bat or firing back! The bad guy cannot outrun the laser or the bullet. The laser was EASY to put on, not a problem, and the 4 different settings to choose from, such as the constant beam to the high speed pulse is just awesome! Talk about freedom of choice and customization! It works during the day, in bright sunshine, in the middle of July, in Oklahoma, it is amazing how easy it is to see! It was worth every single penny! My time from my quick draw to the time I put "lead" on target was substancially reduced. I know longer guess if I am going to hit the target or shoot too high or too low, or just plain panic and miss. I am practicing with it daily, on moving targets. (neighbors dogs, cats) of course my weapon is cleared, but the advantages of knowing that you will hit what you are aiming at if need be is awesome! If you have a weapon for self defense, and you dont have a laser on it, dont get mad when you shoot at a buglar and hit your big screen TV, or put a hole through the piano, or blow out those new high energy efficiency "Obama" doors or windows, or worse yet, blow your CPU to smitherines! I KNOW that I will HIT my target, and ONLY the target, and with hollowpoints, I am pretty sure the rounds won''t be coming out the other side of the bad guy. Best buy I have ever made, next to my hot tub, which will also remain intact and bullet hole free! I got a bore sighter laser, put it in the bore of my weapon, which was secured to a vice and then I turned on the red bore laser and the Viridian green laser and then made simple adjustments so the two lined up perfectly at a 25 meter target. OH, the bore sighter looked whimpy next to the Viridian laser, and now it is calibrated and ready for USE.
