The magazine is very well constructed. Spring tension is appropriate for 12 rounds, and the base plate is very, very secure and would take a moderate amount of deliberate manipulation to remove it. My only issue is an occasional, mild rattle when fully loaded. Pinky-finger comfort and control are both moderate. The lack of ridging for slip resistance may be a concern for a few of you, but I think it safe to say that most will find it more than adequate in providing the additional recoil control and comfort of pinky-finger placement you are likely looking for.
